As well as the show artworks are dedicated to the women who made a lot for the progress of science but rested unknown because of discrimination. The portraits are made with coffee, juice and chocolate used as watercolours.

Be different be happy this can be a short description of 6 illustrations dedicated to “Ugly duckling”, the fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen.
These artworks have been presented during the art show “Into imagination” from 14th December 2022 to 13th Januarry 2023 in Pianezza (Italy). For the reasons of space just 5 of 6 artworks took part to the show.

What is “Matite in viaggio”?
Matite in viaggio means “travelling pencils” in Italian. The cultural association “Matite in viaggio” aims to promote the culture of journey and the art of recording its experience, by drawings and words.
Article 3 of the Association statute says “Visiting countries and places, meeting people and communities, understanding ancient and contemporary civilizations are the conditions under which “travel sketchbooks” can express the will and dream to identify with the freedom and dignity of all men”.
The project
The sketchbook on show this year has been created in autumn of 2021 in Moscow region (Russia). It is dedicated to birches in autumn transparent and warmed by the last fall sun.
Birch is one of the most common trees in Europe and north America . You will find it everywhere from USA to Italy and from Ukraine to Russia and Japan.

Art collective “LIVE NATURE” in Pianezza (Italy) will be open from 19 to 27 march in Villa Casalegno, Via al Borgo 2, Pianezza (Italy). Opening party 19th March at 4 pm at Villa Casalegno, Via al Borgo 2, Pianezza (Italy).
Open hous: 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th March 10-12 am; 4-6 pm.
You can see on this collective a new series of the landscapes and illustrations about Russian woods near Moscow made with mixed media drawing on the cardboard 15×10 cm. The Moscow fall sketchbook 2021 completes the series. The sketchbook is open invitin a visitor to scroll the immages made with ink on acrylic paint.

The project “Breaking the rules” is a project that destroys the way of making art. It’s a difficult and painful way to get out from the “confort zone” and to use the media, compositions and ideas never used before to keep on growing as artist and as a person. The project started in 2015 with the first artwork made for a collective that invited the artists to use the media never used before. The Russian artist mixed up Roy Lichtenstein’s pop-art and Rene Magritte’s surrealism. Every year the new artworks keep on “breaking the rules”.
